Garden City Fire Department’s Lt. James

Southern, Jose Seijas, Lt. Jason Bennett, James Daily and Jeremy Kemp

wear pink T-shirts as part of their chapter of the Pink Heals Tour, a

national nonprofit organization supporting women and raising awareness

for the fight against breast cancer. The fire department is selling the

T-shirts to raise money to go toward fighting cancer in the Garden City

community. Profits are currently earmarked to go toward the purchase of

two digital mammography machines at St. Catherine Hospital. Shirts are

$20 each and can be ordered through the Central Fire Station. Those who

purchase shirts are encouraged to wear them Oct. 25 through 27, which

has been proclaimed as "Care Enough to Wear Pink Days."
