The USD 457 Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming St., and will recognize seven more local schools where students have earned the Standard of Excellence Awards for the 2011-12 school year.

In curriculum reports, the board will hear a report on the progress of the high school academies and smaller learning communities.

In new business, the board will discuss the revision of the middle school boundaries and the revision of the following policies: Evaluation of the Instructional Program, Truancy and the release of a student during the day.

The board also will discuss a local wellness policy and review the school district organization plan and buildings and grounds.

A closed session is planned to discuss matters of personnel.
