Floyd Horn won high in the three tables of senior center pinochle played Wednesday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Brenda Myers and Lois Towns tied for second place. Third went to Jerry Wallace.
The Garden City Duplicate Bridge Club hosted a 28-board Howell movement March 10 that produced 25 games although two slams failed. First place was a one-point race at the end with Wen Wurst and Jon Craig winning over Jon Kempton and Irene Bryant. Helen Lee and Shirley Klotz were third.
On March 11, competition was even broader as all seven pairs scored within a 6.1-point range. Games scored fell to 12, but Jerry Soldner and Gerry Schultz won first overall. Wurst and Craig held second, while Mark and Jody Neuman fought into third place, less than two points above a fourth-place tie.
Regular games begin at 7 p.m. Monday and 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., plus sanctioned games start at 2 p.m. Sunday, with all bridge players welcome. For partners, call Kempton at 276-2876.
