Woman killed in dune buggy crash

SYRACUSE — A Colorado woman was killed Friday in a dune buggy accident that occurred in Hamilton County Friday afternoon.

Rachael E. Finley, 19, Larkspur, Colo., was killed in a dune buggy accident that occurred 1.5 miles south of Syracuse at approximately 5:30 p.m. Friday

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Dalton L. Brill, 19, Parker Colo., was driving a 1981 GMC Dune Buggy westbound on West River Road when he lost control on a curve and overturned the vehicle once, landing on the driver's side.

Brill was injured in the accident and taken to Hamilton County Hospital, but his condition was unavailable.

According to the KHP, neither Brill or Finley were wearing safety restraints at the time of the accident.
