A free motorcycle safety training course is being hosted by the Garden City Police Department July 13.

The GCPD will cover such topics as professional riding techniques, motorcycle control and collision causation factors.

Beginner or experience rides are encouraged to take the opportunity to learn how to become better, safer riders.

A helmet is required to be worn on the practice course, which will take place at the Law Enforcement Center, 304 N. Ninth St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To register, contact the GCPD Traffic Unit at 276-1300.
