Ten drivers were cited on allegations of no proof of liability insurance during the Garden City Police Department's insurance check lane Wednesday.

The GCPD conducted the check lane from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Taylor Avenue.

According to a press release from the GCPD, 307 vehicles passed through the check lane and 10 drivers were cited and released on an allegation of no proof of liability insurance.

The check lane is part of an ongoing effort by the Garden City Police Department to reduce the number of drivers in Garden City who are driving without motor vehicle liability insurance.
