Garden City Police Department Thefts/Losses

Monday

Between 11:30 a.m. Sunday and 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of East Spruce Street, an unknown person stole an electric meter. Loss $100.

Between 7:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North Ninth Street, an unknown person took a truck bed gate. Loss $600.

At 3 p.m. at Western State Bank, 1500 E. Kansas Ave., an unknown person passed a counterfeit $100 bill. Loss $100.

Saturday

Between 2:30 and 2:35 p.m. at Wharton's, 609 N. 10th St., an unknown person stole three rose bushes from the business. Estimated loss $105.

Between 3:30 and 4 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Taylor Avenue, an unknown person took items from a business. Loss $23.

Friday

Between 7 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Vinzant Street, an unknown person located items belonging to the victim and failed to return lost items. Loss $2.

Thursday

Between 5 p.m. June 19 and 9 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of East Fulton Street, an unknown person stole a vehicle tag. Estimated loss $10.

Between 2 and 8 a.m. in the 4100 block of East Highway 50, an unknown person entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and stole medical supplies and other items. Estimated loss $420.

Between 10:30 p.m. June 19 and 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Sioux Drive, an unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle and stole the CD player. Estimated loss $300.

June 19

Between 8 and 9 a.m. at United Methodist Mexican American Ministry, 712 St. John St., an unknown person stole a bike. Estimated loss $40.

June 13

Between 12 p.m. June 12 and 6 a.m. June 13 in the 200 block of Spencer Street, an unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet and credit cards. Estimated loss $200. The credit cards were later used in three locations in Garden City for a loss of $165.

Monday

Samuel Manuel Magana, 33, Holcomb, was arrested at 9:28 a.m. on a probation violation.

Antonio Reye Rubio, 20, 1204 N. Third St., was arrested at 11:55 a.m. on an arrest-and-detain order.

Abel Vincent Ortiz, 21, 211 S. 10th St., was arrested at 3:42 p.m. on an arrest-and-detain order.

Oran Lee McGraw, 37, 2401 Lincoln Road, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. on an allegation of domestic battery.

Friday

Michael Eugenio Madrid, 32, 4101 E. U.S. Highway 50, was arrested at 1:18 a.m. on a bench warrant for failure to appear.

Thursday

Bobby Marks, 28, Wichita, was arrested at 3 p.m. on a bench warrant for failure to appear.

Demetrius Almerado O'Connor, 23, 4101 E. U.S. Highway 50, was arrested at 8:03 a.m. on allegations of interference with a law enforcement officer, arson and burglary.

Thursday

David Lee Addison Melder, 23, 2612 C St., was arrested at 7:09 p.m. on allegations of exceeding maximum speed limits, driving while suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.
