Lori Chambers, computer teacher at Kenneth Henderson Middle School, was chosen as president of the Kansas Business Education Association (KBEA) for 2013 during the organization's convention on Oct. 11 in Wichita. Chambers will serve a one-year term in this role.
KBEA members were given the opportunity to experience personal and professional growth during the two-day conference with a keynote speaker, exhibits and workshops.
KBEA is an organization of business teachers from across the state of Kansas. Their mission is to promote an understanding of the general objectives of business teaching on the part of the business teachers in middle and high schools, private schools, parochial schools and colleges across Kansas.
They also promote and facilitate programs and activities within the state, designed to assist all business teachers, help them grow in their profession and improve business education in Kansas.
