Church to hold worship service for graduates

The Garden City Ministerial Alliance and Garden City churches are having a special worship service for the Class of 2013.

The service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday in the auditorium at Garden City High School, 2720 Buffalo Way.

The guest speaker, Justin Dewell from Ozark Christian College, will focus on the theme "Life Changes."

For more information, call Leland Jackson at 276-3110.

Event to explore satisfying life

How to experience a full and satisfying life will be explored at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lifetree Cafe, 1110 Campus Drive, Suite C.

The program, "How To Live Before You Die: Embracing Life To The Fullest," features an exclusive filmed interview with Sasha Vukelja, who as a young girl escaped from communist Yugoslavia and emigrated to the United States.

Vukelja, now an oncologist, tells how she works with patients facing an uncertain future to find hope and a positive attitude.

"We can all use a dose of encouragement," said Lifetree representative Craig Cable. "This program provides practical tips for having a happy, fulfilled life."

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Snacks and beverages will be available.

Lifetree Cafe is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting.

Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Cable at (970) 292-4697 or ccable@group.com.
