TODAY, APRIL 12

N.E.W. (Never Ending Workshop): Open to children age 3 to 6, with this session's project being "Artful Easter Eggs," 2 to 3 p.m. at Garden City Arts, 318 N. Main St. Fee is $3 for non-members; $2 for members. A parent will need to stay with their child. Space is limited to six children, and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Sonrise Run/Walk: ABC Pregnancy Care Center's annual event begins at 9 a.m. at 509 N. Sixth St., with registration from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Cost is $20 for the 5k; $25 for the half-marathon; or $30 for a family entry with two or more participating. For more information, call 275-1777.

Vaccination clinic: The Finney County Humane Society's event offering free parvo/distemper vaccinations for dogs, 1 to 3 p.m. in the garage of the Garden City/Finney County Animal Shelter, 124 N. Fleming St. Dogs must be on a leash.

SUNDAY, APRIL 13

Musical program: High Plains Country Music Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers monthly program at the Memorial Building on Main Street in Lakin. Sign-up will begin at 1 p.m., with the program starting at 2 p.m. All area musicians are welcome to come and join in and help provide the program for the afternoon. "Ten Women" exhibit: Featuring the works of Dawnell Francis, Elizabeth Baker and Laurie Chapman of Garden City; Amy Warfield of Wichita; Tracy Teeter and Shalene Henley of Ulysses; Margaret Butcher of Dodge City; Amanda Calhoun of Texas; Manna Rice Garrick of British Columbia; and Jennifer Higerd of Missouri. WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16

ARTful Afternoons: Children ages 6 to 15 can drop in and create art from 4 to 5 p.m. at Garden City Arts, 318 N. Main St. There is no fee for the class. Space is limited to 20 people and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dance: Featuring "The Blue Notes," 7:30 p.m. at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Open to the public.

THURSDAY, APRIL 17

Walls & Halls art program: Available to students in fourth through 12th grade, 4 to 5 p.m. at Garden City Arts, 318 N. Main St. Fee is $10 for non-members; $5 for members. Registration is required. Scholarships are available.

FRIDAY, APRIL 18

Musical program: Featuring "Classic 3 (Piano Man)," 7 p.m. at Homestead Assisted Living, 2414 N. Henderson St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

"The Road to Redemption" Easter Pageant: Featuring the Camp Lakeside Soup Supper from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (park your car at the pageant site, 12 miles north of Scott City by the south entrance of Lake Scott State Park on Highway 95 and then a shuttle will take you to and from the camp dining hall), followed by live music from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and the pageant at 9 p.m. A free-will offering will be received for the supper and at the pageant's intermission.
