SATURDAY, FEB. 23

Navajo Taco Dinner: Dine-in or carry-out meal consisting of authentic Navajo Indian fry bread topped with beef, beans and a variety of condiments, homemade pie and beverage for $6, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at First Christian Church, 306 N. Seventh St. Tickets may be purchased at the church office during regular business hours. Tickets at the door will be $7. Sand and Sage Rifle and Pistol Club collectors show: Vendors from five states will feature antiques, coins, stamps, firearms, ammunition, reloading supplies, military surplus items, arts and crafts, jewelry and more, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Finney County Fairgrounds Exhibition Building. Admission is $5 for adults; free for children 12 and younger with parents.

SUNDAY, FEB. 24

College Goal Sunday: Offering free assistance for college-bound southwest Kansas high school students and others in applying for federal financial aid, 2 to 4 p.m. in the media center/library area of Garden City High School, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd. Students and families welcome. Participants should take 2012 federal income tax returns, whether or not completed. GCHS students encouraged to arrive with school-issued iPads.

Head over Heels Bridal Show: Featuring more than 50 vendors, live models and demonstrations, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Clarion Inn Conference Center, 1911 E. Kansas Ave. There will be a $500 Grand Prize to one lucky bride, plus more than $2,000 in giveaways. Free admission.

TUESDAY, FEB. 26

Musical variety program: Golden Oldies music featuring "The Garden City Humdinger Band," 7 p.m. at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge. For more information, call 275-5036.

THURSDAY, FEB. 28

Musical program: Featuring Terry Barber's program of classical and popular favorites, 7:30 p.m. in Clifford Hope Auditorium at Horace J. Good Middle School, 1412 N. Main St. This is a performance in the Southwest Kansas Live On Stage concert season. Single tickets are $25 for adults, $6 for students. Seventh Annual Six by Six Art Show and Sale: Offering original works by students and established area artists, all priced at $20 and each executed on ready-to-hang six-inch blocks of wood, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 1 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 2 in Mercer Gallery in the west wing of the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building at Garden City Community College, 801 Campus Drive.

45th Annual Garden City Community College Intercollegiate Rodeo: Featuring more than 400 college and university competitors from Kansas and Oklahoma, 7:30 p.m. March 2 and 3 and 1:30 p.m. March 4 at Horse Palace indoor arena on the west end of the Finney County Fairgrounds in Garden City. Admission on sale at gate.

Hours at the Finney County Health Department, 919 Zerr Road, are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 8 a.m. to noon.
