Fall Harvest Auction and Soup & Pie Supper: Supper (free-will donation) starts at 5:30 p.m. atGarden City Church of the Brethren, 505 N. Eighth St., with a silent auction during the meal and a live auction at 7 p.m. Offered for sale will be numerous homemade items such as candy, spiced tea, cappuccino, relish, wood carvings, pillow cases and a handmade quilt.

Bierocks sale: St. Dominic youth will sell bierocks from noon to 5 p.m. and after the 5:30 p.m. Mass today and after the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday in the Parish Center, 615 JC St. Bierocks will be sold for $30 per dozen. Money raised will be used to cover costs for the Youth Mission Trip to Marvell, Ark., to serve the poor.

"A Holiday Extravaganza": 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 205 N. Eighth St. Vendors will include Scentsy, Silpada Jewelry, Tonja's Toffee, Origami Owl, Classy Looks, Celebrating Home and more. The event also will feature a martial arts demonstration at 10:30 a.m.; a fashion show at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; Santa visits from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; youth singers Jeremy Oropeza and Darby Riemer at 11:30 a.m.; singers Jon Irsik and Miranda Harris at 1:30 p.m.; and the Garden City Community College Talent Band at 2:30 p.m.; plus a silent auction and food booth. Donation tickets for prize drawings are available at the Families Together office, 1518 Taylor Plaza, or from fashion show models and their families.


Singles dance: Featuring "The Cottonwoods" from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, U.S. Highway 83 and Mary Street. Sponsored by Garden City Singles, the dance is open to the public. People attending must be age 21 or older.

"Snow White, The Untold Story": All-school play at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Tuesday at Deerfield High School Auditorium. Admission is $3 for youth and $4 for adults.

Retirement Open House: For Pastor John and Michele Elder, 3 to 5 p.m. at Garden City Church of the Brethren, 505 N. Eighth St.


Musical variety program: Featuring Clay Davenport and The ABC Band from Lakin, 7 p.m. at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge. For more information, call 275-5036.

27th Annual Fantasy Tree Festival: 6 p.m. at the Clarion Inn, 1911 E. Kansas Plaza, with dinner hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment by Steps Dance School, a live auction and multiple silent auction tables that will run throughout the evening. Tickets are $40 per person or two for $75. Tickets are available at the Clarion Inn, Regan Jewelers, Dillons East and West, Wheatfields on Main, The Corner on Main, Ward's Garden Center, AmericInn Hotel & Suites and Russell Child Development Center.

Holiday Home Tours: 1 to 5 p.m. and to include Sunnyland Tablescapes, hosted by Fred and Kathryn Askren at Sunnyland Bed & Breakfast, 501 N. Fifth St. Tickets are $15 and include six tablescape chance drawing entries, auction preview of the Fantasy Tree Festival and complimentary refreshments at Ward's Garden Café beginning at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the locations listed above for the Fantasy Tree Festival.
