Wedding: Herbic-Simshauser

Jessica Lynn Herbic of Salina and Nathan Flint Simshauser of Lakin were married May 26, 2012, at Crosspoint Church in Salina. The 3:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Eric Franklin.

The bride's parents are Jim and Lynn Herbic of Salina. Her grandparents are Glenn and Buelah Herbic of Alma; and Max and Veanna Carman of Oberlin.

The groom is the son of Bill and Diane Simshauser of Lakin. His grandparents are Norman and Ethel Simshauser of Lakin; Barbara Fillmore of Garden City; and the late Keith Fillmore.

Maid of honor was Danielle Brotton of Salina. Bridesmaids were Kayla Palumbo of Manhattan; and Ami Salkil of Salina.

Best man was Tadd Taylor of Leoti. Groomsmen were David Banister of McDonald; and Tyrel Robben of Sharon Springs.

Flower girl was Sadie Franklin of Salina. Ayden Fritz of Salina was the ringbearer.

Serving as ushers were Jeremy Herbic, the bride's brother from Salina; and Wesley Gleason, the groom's brother-in-law from Bucklin.

Alaina and Phillip Ryan of Salina were soloists. Reader was Chelsea Gleason, the groom's sister from Bucklin.

The ceremony was followed by a reception, given by the couple's parents, at the Ramada Inn, Salina. Assistants were Carol Rice, Evelyn Gestenslager and Noretta Hesslink, the groom's aunts from Lakin.

The bride graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 2006 and from Fort Hays State University in 2010 with an associates degree in business management. She is an administrative assistant at Lakin High School.

The groom graduated from Lakin High School in 2006 and from Kansas State University in Salina with a bachelor's degree in technology management. He farms with his parents.

After a wedding cruise to Bahamas and Virgin Islands, the newlyweds are at home in Lakin.
