The bride-to-be graduated from Garden City High School in 2005 and earned a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., in 2009 and a master's degree in communication sciences and disorders from Rockhurst University in 2011. She is a speech-language pathologist with Aegis Therapies at Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Mo.
Her fiancee graduated from St. Louis University High School in 2006 and earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Rockhurst University in 2010 and a bachelor's degree in mathematics and secondary education from Rockhurst University in 2010. He is a mathematics teacher and head varsity soccer coach at Bishop Ward High School, Kansas City, Kan.
They plan to marry April 27, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Kansas City, Mo.
