Alex Jr. and Beatrice M. Gallardo of Garden City will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this year. They plan to celebrate with their family and friends at a later date.

Alex Gallardo Jr. and Beatrice Mesa were married Nov. 25, 1972, at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City.

They have two daughters: Jennifer Uhl and her husband Nale live in Olathe; Alexis Foreman and her husband Sam reside in Cambridge, Mass. They also have four grandchildren.
