Principals to be honored by KASSP
The Kansas Association of Secondary School Principals (KASSP) is recognizing Tracy Leiker, associate principal at Garden City High School, as the KASSP Area 6 Assistant Principal honoree for the 2013-14 school year.
The KASSP also is recognizing Cesar Pena, Sublette High School, as the KASSP Area 6 High School Principal Nominee.
Pena was nominated and selected by peer principals. Candidates are evaluated on their school leadership, school improvement, dedication, professionalism and service to students.
Each year, the Kansas Association of Secondary School Principals recognizes middle school and secondary school principals for outstanding and exemplary leadership in the organization and to the profession.
The awards will be presented on Nov. 4, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport, during the KASSP Annual Fall Conference Awards Reception.
