"Fun on the Prairie": Musical songs of the prairie will be featured during the event from 9 a.m. to noon at Sandsage Prairie and Bison Range. There will be someone on hand to help attendees spot the birds that are migrating for the spring season. Debra Bolton and the group "Too Many Strings" will perform from 10 to 11 a.m.
"All Shook Up!": Grant County Chamber of Commerce's Spring Fling will feature more than 60 booths including home improvement, health, agriculture, insurance, investments, real estate, crafts, food and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Grant County Civic Center, 1000 W. Patterson Ave., in Ulysses. There also will be music, dancing, games, kiddie pedal tractor pulls and more.
SUNDAY, APRIL 14
Musical program: High Plains Country Music Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers monthly program at the Memorial Building on Main Street in Lakin. Sign-up will begin at 1 p.m., with the program starting at 2 p.m. All area musicians are welcome to join in and help provide the program. There will be a short break for snacks.
