TODAY, APRIL 13

"Fun on the Prairie": Musical songs of the prairie will be featured during the event from 9 a.m. to noon at Sandsage Prairie and Bison Range. There will be someone on hand to help attendees spot the birds that are migrating for the spring season. Debra Bolton and the group "Too Many Strings" will perform from 10 to 11 a.m.

"All Shook Up!": Grant County Chamber of Commerce's Spring Fling will feature more than 60 booths including home improvement, health, agriculture, insurance, investments, real estate, crafts, food and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Grant County Civic Center, 1000 W. Patterson Ave., in Ulysses. There also will be music, dancing, games, kiddie pedal tractor pulls and more.

SUNDAY, APRIL 14

Musical program: High Plains Country Music Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers monthly program at the Memorial Building on Main Street in Lakin. Sign-up will begin at 1 p.m., with the program starting at 2 p.m. All area musicians are welcome to join in and help provide the program. There will be a short break for snacks. TUESDAY, APRIL 16

Musical program: Featuring "The Roadrunners," 7 p.m. at Homestead Assisted Living, 2414 N. Henderson St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

Musical variety program: Featuring "DeAnn Crase and Friends," 7 p.m. at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge. For more information, call 275-5036.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17

Dance: Featuring "The Blue Notes Variety Band," 7:30 p.m. at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Open to the public.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20

Legislative Coffee: 9 a.m. at St. Catherine Hospital, Classroom B. Complimentary breakfast served courtesy of the hospital. For more information, call 276-3264.

SUNDAY, APRIL 21

Singles dance: Featuring "Moonshiners" from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, U.S. Highway 83 and Mary Street. Sponsored by Garden City Singles, the dance is open to the public. People attending must be age 21 or older.

Hours at the Finney County Health Department, 919 Zerr Road, are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 8 a.m. to noon.
