Musical variety program: Golden Oldies featuring "The Garden City Humdinger Band," 7 p.m. at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

"Surviving the Holidays": A special session of Divorce Care, offering support, encouragement and advice to survive the holidays without your mate, 7 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene, 2720 N. Campus Drive. For more information, call Penny German at (620) 430-7653.

FRIDAY, NOV. 30

Musical program: Featuring "Humdinger's," 7 p.m. at Homestead Assisted Living, 2414 N. Henderson St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

SATURDAY, DEC. 1

Santa's Carnival: Featuring a moon walk, carousel, beep-beep cars, kiddie airplanes, a small roller coaster, swings, cotton candy, funnel cakes and visits with Santa, 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 at the Expo Building on the Finney County Fairgrounds in Garden City. All-day carnival ride wristbands are $5 per person.

Yum Yum Shoppe: Featuring casseroles, baked goods, crafts, bierocks, burritos and homemade pretzels for sale, theme baskets offered in drawings for door prizes, plus soups for lunch, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parish hall at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 710 N. Main St.

Health Department

Hours at the Finney County Health Department, 919 Zerr Road, are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 8 a.m. to noon.

The following events are scheduled at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., unless otherwise noted. Anyone 55 years of age or older is welcome to participate.

Open pool: 1 to 4 p.m. today.

Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers: 4 to 9 p.m. today.

Dominoes and open pool: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Lunch: Served at noon Monday through Friday.

Walking Club: 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Humdinger Band practice: 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Double pinochle: 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Zumba: 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Duplicate bridge: 7 p.m. Monday.

Ambassador Singers practice: 1 p.m. Thursday.

Life Writers: 1 p.m. Thursday.

Zumba: 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Yoga: 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Line dancing: 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Bridge: 12:45 p.m. Friday.
