Wedding: Shapland-Noterman

Lacey Shapland and Nicholas Noterman, both of Sublette, were married Nov. 7, 2009, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Dighton. The Rev. Warren Stecklein officiated the 4 p.m., double-ring ceremony.

The bride's parents are Mark and Leah Shapland of Dighton. Her grandparents are Norma Doll and the late Wayne Doll of Dighton; and Eugene and Sue Shapland of Dighton. Her great-grandmother is Ora Mae Shapland of Dighton.

Parents of the groom are Randy and Sheri Noterman of Niwot, Colo. His grandparents are Wayne and Carol Ann Peterson of Longmont, Colo.; and Alvin Noterman and the late Shirley Noterman of Boulder, Colo.

Maid of honor was Jessica Redburn of Hugoton. Bridesmaids were Emily Griess of Grand Island, Neb.; Stephanie Linn of Hays; Kayla Peterson of Longmont; and Julie Romero of Bayfield, Colo.

Best man was Justin Hergenreder of Larks Spur, Colo. Groomsmen were Matt and Ryan Noterman, both of Niwot; and Justin and Seth Shapland, both of Dighton.

Candlelighters were Payden Shapland of Dighton; and Kolyton Ratliff of Ness City.

Flower girl was Jena Ratliff of Ness City. Ringbearer was Jason Ward of Dighton.

Serving as ushers were Blake Denton of West Point, Neb.; Brian Lockman of Hays; Drew Buettner of Kearney, Neb.; and Trevor Winchester of Liberal.

Organist was Joann Penka of Dighton. George Doll of Great Bend was the soloist.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at St. Theresa's Parish Hall in Dighton.

The bride graduated from Dighton High School in 2004 and from Fort Hays State University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. She is an agriculture Extension agent for Haskell County.

The groom attended Niwot High School, Northeastern Junior College and Fort Hays State University, graduating in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He is a fertilizer seed consultant and salesman for Tri-Rotor Crop Services in Ulysses.

After a wedding trip to Florida and the Bahamas, the newlyweds are at home in Satanta.
