Melissa Glaser of Emporia and Kevin Wanklyn of Lakin were married Jan. 9, 2010, at All Faiths Chapel on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan. The 2 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Revs. Keith Weber and Larry Fry. The bride carried her great-grandmother's handkerchief.The bride's parents are Don and Linda Glaser of Emporia.
The groom's parents are Mark and Sandy Wanklyn of Lakin.
Matron of honor was Katie Mason. The bride's attendants were her sisters, Sarah Glaser and Deon Glaser.
Best man was Craig Wanklyn, brother of the groom. The groom's attendants were Scott Heeke and Troy Richardson.
Flower girl was Grace Richardson. The ring bearers were Noah Richardson and Sam Richardson.
Readers and candlelighters were Christy Richardson and Lisa Heeke.
Frank Schmeidler was the musician for the wedding.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at the K-State Alumni Center on campus.
A graduate of Emporia High School, the bride graduated from Kansas State University with bachelor's degrees in elementary education and English and a master's degree in English. She is employed by the university's PILOTS Program.
The groom graduated from Lakin High School and from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctorate in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Uncopiers Inc., Manhattan.
After a honeymoon in Miami and the Florida Keys, the newlyweds are at home at 1708 Little Kitten Ave., Manhattan, KS 66503.
