Engagement: Avalon-Wood

Lois Avalon of Garden City and Manuel Avalon of the Philippines announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Avalon, to Erick Wood, the son of Karen Dyer of Holcomb.

The bride-to-be graduated from Deerfield High School in 1992 and from Garden City Community College in May 2009. She is employed at Area Mental Health Center.

Her fiancé graduated from Deerfield High School in 1991 and from Tulsa Welding School in 2000. He is employed at Trinidad Drilling.

They plan to marry April 17, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Garden City.
