The Garden City High School jazz bands will present a concert on at

7:30 p.m. Monday in the auditorium at the high school, 2720 Buffalo Way

Blvd.

All GCHS jazz ensembles will perform during the evening. The free concert is open to the public.

The eight students that will be performing with the Kansas Music

Educators Association Southwest District Honor Band on Nov. 9 in Dodge

City, and will be in attendance at the concert. They are: Avery Turner,

lead alto saxophone; Maggie Unruh, second tenor saxophone; Caleb Rude,

second trumpet; Steven Dennis, fourth trumpet; Noah Rude, second

trombone; Zach George, fourth trombone; Danny Whited, bass trombone and

Curtis Wedel, upright bass. The four students selected as alternates

also will be in attendance at the concert. They include: Karina Ortega,

alto saxophone; Tara Holmes, tenor saxophone; Reagan Swank, baritone

saxophone and Kyle Ochampaugh, trumpet.
