Garden City Community College’s Vespers concert: Featuring performances from the GCCC Concert Choir, College Singers, Garden City First United Methodist Church and Community Chorus, plus combined choirs and instrumentalists will present “Fantasia Noel” arranged and orchestrated by Joshua Spacht, 3 p.m. at the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts auditorium on campus, 801 N. Reception and meet-and-greet: Featuring guest artist Marianne Sullivan Hamer, a photographer who resides in the Kansas City area, but also is one of the area’s hometown girls, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Main ARTery, 103 S. TubaChristmas: Area tuba or euphonium players will gather at 3 p.m. on Grant Avenue in downtown Garden City to perform holiday music.

Downtown Christmas Parade: Make plans to attend the 2017 Downtown Christmas Parade, presented by The Burtis Motor Co., beginning at 6 p.m. Marching bands, school groups, church groups, and many more help to spread seasonal cheer with their brightly decorated holiday floats. This year’s parade theme is “Let it Snow!”
