Susan Alsop and Steven Miller were married Nov. 5, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan. The Rev. Kay Scarbrough officiated.

Susan is the daughter of Ted and the late Rita Alsop of Garden City.

Steven is the son of Esther Becker of Galva, and Daryl Miller of Memphis, Tenn.

Hailey Mireles Coffindaffer was maid of honor. The bride's sisters, Abby Alsop and Betsy Lobmeyer, were bridesmaids.

Parrish Parker stood as his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Dylan Marshall and Nathan Watt.

Ushers were Beau Coffindaffer; Matthew Lobmeyer, brother-in-law of the bride; and D.J. Pighetti, brother-in-law of the groom.

The bride's nieces, Anna and Katie Lobmeyer, were the "ring bears," with Anna pulling Katie, dressed in a bear costume, down the aisle in a wagon.

Mackenzie Pighetti, the groom's niece, was the flower girl.

A reception at Wareham Opera House followed the ceremony.

The bride holds a master's degree in library science from the University of Missouri. She is employed by Kansas State University.

The groom holds a bachelor's degree from K-State. He is employed by The Manhattan Mercury.

After a honeymoon trip to New Orleans, they are at home in Manhattan.
