Run Dates: Started December 12 and runs through December 31.

Vote for your favorites in the Readers' Choice contest! Complete at least 20 categories and you'll be entered into a drawing to win $50!

Find Elroy the Elf Contest

Run Dates: Started December 10 and ran through December 24.

We ran a daily scavenger hunt for you. The Find Elroy the Elf contest was a daily search to find Elroy in our newspaper. Every day we gave $25 to a daily random drawing winner!

Cutest Pet Contest

Run Dates: Started October 15 and ran through October 31 for submissions. Voting was from November 1 to November 15.

Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, snakes, lizards, and even fish. They were all eligible for our new Cutest Pet contest. There were lots of entries and one lucky winner got the $75 prize.

Biggest Fan for KU or K-State

Run Dates: Photo submissions accepted from August 6 through September 26. Voting will be from September 27 to noon on October 4. Winner announced October 6.

We went hunting for the Biggest Fan for Kansas college teams. And you decided on the winner. There were a number of great photos showing your team spirit.

Hole in One Golf Contest

Run Dates: April 7 through September 25

Players from around the area vied for the Grand Prize from Buffalo Dunes golf course. More than 20 tournaments gave platers lots of chances to pick winners and score big. One lucky guy did.

Cutest Kid Contest

Run Dates: June 25 through July 14 for submissions and the voting went from July 15 through noon, July 21.

We had nearly 100 submissions for our inaugural Cutest Kids contest and there were some awesome pictures. We're expecting to run this again next year, so mark your calendar.

Ugliest Grill Contest

Run Dates: May 14 through June 3 for submissions and June 4 through noon, June 10 for voting.

Someone in the area had an old, rusty, beat up, falling apart, on it's last legs, grill. Now they are the proud owner of a shiny new grill! A big thank you goes out to all our sponsors and contestants.

Mother Daughter Look Alike Contest

Run Dates: April 9-29 for submissions and April 30 through noon, May 6 for voting.

We had about 40 entries in the 2011 Mothers Daughter contest and over 600 voting participants. Thanks to everyone who took part in this fun contest.
