This fall, the library will be starting a new evening storytime for children newborn to age 3.

This story time will be similar to our daytime Wee Readers program, but will be available in the evenings for working parents. Wee Readers: Night Crawlers will meet the second and fourth Monday of the month in the library's meeting rooms. The first meeting will take place on Sept. 14. Pre-registration is not required. Please stop in or call for more information.

Book clubs will be starting back up in September. Whether you have participated before or have never attended one, the Finney County Public Library has something for you. Our contemporary book club "The Book Bunch" takes place on the third Saturday of the month at 11 a.m. September's meeting will discuss the book "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger and will take place Sept. 19.

Our monster book club "Monster Madness" discusses a book based on a classic monster and then watches a monster movie. September's meeting will discuss the book Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and will meet 6 p.m. Sept. 15.

Multiple copies of both books are available at the front desk for check out.

Reminder! Library hours are changing. Starting Monday, the libraries permanent hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
