Amy Buxman and Alex McWilliams, both of Burden, were married Oct. 6, 2012, at Lakeside Cabin in McPherson. The 4 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the groom's grandfather, Daryl McNabb.
The bride, a former resident of Garden City, is the daughter of Dale and Jolene Buxman of McPherson. Her grandparents are John and Helen Buxman of Greeley, Colo.; and Josephine and the late Sal Goscha of Garden City.
The groom is the son of Eddie and Nancy Mills of Burden. His grandparents are Ken and Geranne Mills of Burden; and Daryl and Donna McNabb of Waverly.
Maid of honor was Emily Buxman, the bride's sister from McPherson. Bridesmaid was Kirstie Gronau of Winfield.
Best man was Kenny Mills of Burden. Groomsman was Geoff Buford of Kansas City, Mo.
Flower girl was Nora Sandison, the groom's cousin from Muskegon, Mich. Ringbearer was Ty Buxman, the bride's nephew from Lenexa.
A reception took place at Canton Community Center in Canton.
The bride graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in business management. She is an assistant manager at Bank of the West, Winfield.
The groom earned a certificate in welding form Missouri Welding Institute in Nevada, Mo. He is a welder at Fluid Kinetics, Winfield.
The newlyweds are at home in Burden.
