Garrison Hendricks scored 17 points and led a strong offensive attack to pace the South Gray Rebels to an 80-32 victory over Deerfield on Saturday night at Montezuma.

The victory kept the Rebels unbeaten at 8-0.

The Rebels erupted for 28 points in the second quarter en route to a 38-10 halftime lead. They continued their scoring onslaught with 25 points in the third quarter to extend the lead to 63-21 after three periods.

In all, 12 players scored for the Rebels. Derek Ridenour and Ronald Martens also reached double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Brennan Wood paced the Spartans with 10 points.

At Montezuma, Mikayla Skidmore, The Telegram's 2010 Player of the Year, scored 20 points, including making four 3-pointers, to lead the Lady Rebels to a 47-29 victory over the Lady Spartans on Saturday night.

Skidmore got scoring support from Dusty Watkins, who finished with 14 and Cori Watts with nine. Danielle Pettz had six points and Bridget Crandall scored five.

Colby girls 62, Ulysses 21

At Colby, Lauren Bell scored 15 points to lead the Lady Eagles to an easy 62-21 Great West Activities Conference victory over Ulysses on Friday night.

The Lady Eagles, unbeaten thus far, scored 18 points in each of the first two quarters for leads of 18-4 and 36-13.

In support of Bell, Morgan Bell with 14 and Katherine Kaus with 11 provided the offensive punch for the Lady Eagles.

Kaylea Britton scored 12 points for the Lady Tigers.
