GCCC football falls five spots in rankings

The Garden City Community College football team dropped five spots to No. 14 in this week's NJCAA poll.

The Broncbusters were handed its first loss Saturday at Memorial Stadium against Jayhawk Conference power Butler 34-29, who is ranked No. 6. Blinn (Texas) College, who knocked off Butler 23-20 in Week 1 in a battle of No. 1 vs. No. 2, holds the top spot in the rankings. Jayhawk Conference member Fort Scott leap frogged the Busters into the No. 12 spot after having a week off. Garden City travels to Fort Scott for a game Sept. 20.

Garden City will be at Memorial Stadium on Saturday to face Air Force Prep in a non-conference game. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
