Angela Kay Staats and Chad Ryan Deal were united in marriage on Jan. 26, 2008, at the Lazy H. Arena (McClung Ranch) in May, Okla. The Rev. James Brown performed the 3 p.m., double-ring ceremony with immediate family members in attendance.

Sarah Moorman, the bride's sister, was matron of honor. Kevin Barnett served as best man.

The bride is the daughter of Walter and Debra Staats of Garden City. Her grandparents are Dorothy Merz and the late John Merz of Garden City; and the late Frank and Gloria Staats of Buffalo, Mo. The groom is the son of Larry and Helena Deal of May. His grandparents are Lawrence and Dixie Deal of Laverne, Okla.; and Ruth Staudt and the late O.K. Staudt of Okmulgee, Okla.

A western-themed reception followed at Apostolic Faith Church's fellowship hall in Laverne.

The groom graduated in 2003 from Garden City Community College, with a certified John Deere Ag Tech degree. He is owner and operator of Superior Diesel, working on all types of vehicles and equipment.

The bride graduated in 2006 from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where she majored in English. She works as bookkeeper at Superior Diesel and takes care of their home and their horse, Merry Melody.

The newlyweds are at home 12 miles south of Laverne. They plan a honeymoon this summer in South Fork, Colo.
