David and LaDonna Slaughter of Garden City announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda, to David Crowther of Rolla. He is the son of Carolyn Milburn of Rolla, and Lynn Crowther of Happy, Texas.

The bride-to-be graduated from Garden City High School and attended Garden City Community College. She is employed by IBC Bank of Elk City, Okla.

Her fiancé graduated from Elkhart High School. He is employed by Markwest Oklahoma Gas Co., Elk City.

The wedding is planned for May 31, 2008, at Community Congregational Church in Garden City.
