Randy and Rhonda Hoffman of Liberal, Danny and Brittany Howell of Tribune, and Wendall and Dedra Koehn of Wellsville announce the engagement of their children, Shawna Danele Howell of Colby and Roger Jeffrey Hoffman of Copeland.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Everett and Carol Howell of Tribune; Olen Marconnet of Wellsville; Valo Marconnet of Hays; and John and Valetta Koehn of Sublette. Her fiancé is the grandson of Randall and Vivian Hoffman of Sublette; and Darlene Hammer and the late Jay Hammer of Sublette. His great-grandmother is Dorral Kells of Garden City.

The bride-to-be graduated from Sublette High School in 1998, Pratt Community College in 2000, Fort Hays State University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in animal science and Kansas State University in 2008 with a master's degree in agriculture education. She is employed at Colby High School as an agriculture education instructor and FFA advisor.

Her fiancé graduated from Liberal High School in 1995 and attended Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson. He is employed by Max Birney Aerial Spraying Service.

The wedding is planned for May 17, 2008, in Colby.
