Bob and Diane Beymer of Lakin announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle, to Dustin Thompson, the son of Wyatt Thompson of Manhattan and Lyna Lero of Salina.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are the late Clyde and Barbra Beymer of Lakin; and Albert and the late Jeanette Lorkovic of Garden City. Her fiancé is the grandson of Allyn and Nancy Thompson of Abilene; and Myrl and Sandy Gilbert of Salina.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Lakin High School and a 2006 graduate of Kansas State University. She teaches eighth-grade algebra in Junction City.

Her fiancé graduated from Ell-Salina High School in 2000 and works for Central Mechanical Construction Co., Manhattan.

The wedding is planned for June 14, 2008, at St. Anthony's Church in Lakin.
