Bud and Margaret Jennings and Roger and Peggy Calkins, all of Lakin, announce the engagement of their children, Darcy Lynn Jennings and Cody Dale Calkins.

Grandparents of the couple are Mabel Grusing and Margaret Coder, both of Lakin; and Francis Calkins of Greeley, Colo.

Cody and Darcy are graduates of Lakin High School and are seniors at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colo.

They plan to marry Jan. 3, 2009, at the Lakin United Methodist Church.
