Dig out the hiking boots and moleskin, folks. It's MOD Walk time again, and chairman Sue Knight believes this may be the largest walk ever in number of persons entered.

A number of area persons in a wide variety of age groups will attempt the 20-mile course tomorrow which will skirt the city and conclude at Building 3 of the fairgrounds. Each "walker" has obtained sponsors who pledge a certain amount of money for each mile walked, with all proceeds going to the March of Dimes.

Registration is from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday at the Hospitality House in Finnup Park. The walk will begin there, and each person participating will be given a small map of the route.

A weiner roast is planned at the conclusion of the walk, with food and drinks to be furnished by a number of area persons and businesses. Entertainment will be provided by The Continentals.
