Witt: Know the signs of H1N1; keep sick kids home from school

By The Telegram

With school starting in Garden City today, this week's edition of Talk of the Town focuses on the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu, and what the school district is doing to prevent its spread.

USD 457's Polly Witt, health services coordinator, and Roy Cessna, public information coordinator, discuss the precautions the school district is taking, and how parents and students can help in the effort. They explain the signs and symptoms of the H1N1 virus and what people should do if they experience those symptoms, as well as how parents should handle it if their child gets sick.
