Elda Martha Koehn

MONTEZUMA -- Elda Martha Koehn, 93, died Monday, July 28, 2008, at Bethel Home Inc., Montezuma, where she had been a resident.

She was born Jan. 11, 1915, in Moundridge, to Frank H. and Anna Dyck Wenger.

On May 22, 1935, she married Orlie A. Koehn in Hesston. He died June 22, 1996. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerald Lee Koehn; an infant daughter, Charlotte Nadine Koehn; two brothers, Harry and Paul Wenger; two sisters, Alice Miller and Margaret Wenger; and an infant grandson, Bradley Koehn.

A homemaker, Mrs. Koehn was a member of Church Of God In Christ Mennonite, Montezuma.

Survivors include four sons, Errol D., Keith P. and Michael R. Koehn, all of Montezuma, and Gary A. Koehn of Lynwood, Wash.; four brothers, Ervy Wenger, Maynard Peters, John B. Wenger and Glen F. Wenger; eight sisters, Grace Diller, Edith Ensz, Alice E. Dyck, Josephine Jantz, Verna M. Schmidt, Vesta E. Peters, Mary Ann Nikkel and Martha Jean Koehn; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at North Mennonite Church, Montezuma, officiated by Charles Schmidt, Franklin Wenger and Edwin Classen, ministers. Burial will be in North Mennonite Cemetery, Montezuma.

Visitation is until 4 p.m. today at Montezuma Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Bethel Home Inc., in care of the funeral home, Box 421, Montezuma, KS 67867.
