Ross E. Brent

Ross E. Brent, 95, of Alton, died Monday, April 28, 2008.

A self-employed farmer, he was born Aug. 9, 1912, in Osborne County.

Survivors include a son, Lanny Brent of Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Carol Fogo of Johnson City, and Margery Prickett of Marlow, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. His wife, Louise, died in 1996.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Alton Methodist Church, followed by burial in Sumner Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 5 to 8 p.m. today at Clark-Gashaw Osborne Chapel in Osborne. Memorials are suggested to Alton Methodist Church, in care of the mortuary, 238 N. First St., Osborne, KS 67473.
