Vada Rolfs

Vada Rolfs, 99, of Ellsworth, died Monday, June 22, 2009.

She was born Nov. 17, 1909, to Viat and Allie Schrepel Wagner. A homemaker, Mrs. Rolfs was a retired elementary school teacher. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and belonged to Lorraine Baptist Church in Lorraine.

Survivors include two daughters, Pat Mayo of Garden City, and Peggy Silcott of Medicine Lodge; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Randle, died in 1994.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Lorraine Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parsons Funeral Home in Ellsworth, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the church or Ellsworth Good Samaritan Retirement Village, both in care of the funeral home, Box 45, Ellsworth, KS 67439.
