Mrs. Coerber was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lakin, Lutheran Womens Missionary League and the Altar Society and was a Sunday school and midweek teacher at the church.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting and especially enjoyed her grandchildren's athletic activities.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Donna Winright and Peggy Ansel, both of Lakin; three brothers, Raymond and Robert Ellis, both of Garden City, and Ronald Ellis of Dighton; three sisters, Maybelle Bowen of Garden City, Mary Jane O'Brien of Ness City, and Rosetta Palkowitsh of Burlington, Colo.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lakin, with the Rev. Galen Grulke officiating. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home, Lakin, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be sent at garnandfh@sbcglobal.net.
