HUGOTON — Pauline C. Timmons, 97, of Hugoton, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at Stevens County Hospital, Hugoton.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1910, in Kingman, to Samuel and Myrtle (Poole) Fergueson. She graduated from high school at Geneseo. She married Fay Timmons Nov. 2, 1929, at Newton. He preceded her in death in 1992.
She moved from Florida to Hugoton in 1950. They owned Tim’s Hotel from 1954 to 1964 in Hugoton. She was a school teacher. She worked at McDonalds Clothing & Troggery and Janets, both of Hugoton. She retired at the age of 90 and was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Womens, both at Holyrood and Hugoton. She was a life member of the Holyrood Eastern Star No. 420, American Legion Auxiliary and the Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed being with her nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces and friends. She liked to play bridge. Her cat, Sammy, was important to her.
Survivors include: nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a brother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Lucille Maxwell and Marceline Yost.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Friday at Paul’s Funeral Home of Hugoton.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Lindenberger presiding. Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Great Bend Cemetery.
