SCOTT CITY -- VAnna G. Hatler, 82, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008.

She was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Gove County, to Robert A. Sr. and Mary Alma Borst Turley. She graduated from Scott City High School and attended Fort Hays State University.

A Garden City resident from 1950 to 1995, she worked and managed the Warren Hotel for 35 years. She also had worked at the Finney County Court House before retiring in 2004 and moving back to Scott City. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Scott City.

Survivors include three daughters, Dianna Solorio of Security, Colo., Mary Lofstrom of Overland Park, and Joy Ferry of Rochester Hills, Mich.; a son, Mark Hatler of Overland Park; two sisters, Dorothy Blume of Scott City, and Elsie Wren of Muretta, Calif.; three brothers, Clarence A. Turley of Scott City, William J. Turley of WaKeeney, and Ralph L. Turley of Ava, Mo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gertrude Turley and Estella Cranmer; and two brothers, Robert A. Turley Jr. and Earl A. Turley.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, with the Rev. Kyle Evans officiating.

Visitation hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests any contributions be directed to your favorite charity or hospice.
