Raymond J. Radnor

Raymond J. Radnor, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

He was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Scott City, to James Edward and Anna May Johnson Radnor.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, Mr. Radnor was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of St. Francis Chapel in Russell Springs.

On May 29, 1944, he married Alberta B. Matheny in Oakley. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Joe and Dwayne Radnor, both of Scott City; a daughter, Peggy Jean Smith of Garden City; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard W. "Jerry" Radnor; and a granddaughter, Erin Radnor.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Scott City, with the Revs. Don Martin and Dennis Carter officiating. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.

Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Washington St., Scott City, KS 67871.
