LeNore M. Hineman
DIGHTON -- LeNore M. Hineman, 86, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Sunrise Assisted Living at Cherry Creek in Denver.
She was born June 8, 1921, in Dighton, to James Harley and Bessie Irene Durr McLeish. She attended Lane County schools, graduating from Dighton High School in 1940.
Mrs. Hineman moved from Dighton to Arizona in 1995. She later moved to Longmont, Colo., and then to Denver. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Dighton. An excellent golfer, she was instrumental in starting the Lane County Country Club in Dighton and continued to golf as long as her health permitted. She also enjoyed shopping and cooking and was especially fond of her dog, Trixie.
On Sept. 8, 1951, she married John A. Hineman in Garden City. He died May 9, 1995. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thurman McLeish; and two sisters, Theola Bryant and Ellavene Kindsvater.
Survivors include a son, Roger Hineman of Dighton; two sisters, LaVern Murphy of Longmont, and Delma Towns of Indianapolis; two grandsons; and a granddaughter.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dighton Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Warren Stecklein officiating.
