Beatrice Helen Dey

Beatrice Helen Dey, 80, died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Presbyterian Manor in Newton.

She was born April 15, 1927, in Gansevoort, N.Y., to Mildred and Gordon E. Ellethorpe.

Mrs. Dey was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star at Newton and enjoyed spending time at the Newton Senior Center. While in Newton, she was active in various chapters for government employees and officials.

On May 18, 1954, she married Max E. Dey in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death as did her parents and three brothers, Don, Hubert and Max.

Survivors include a son, Bob Dey of Garden City; a brother, Edward G. Ellethorpe Jr. of Hudson Falls, N.Y.; and two sisters, Marilyn A. Swears of Gansvoort, N.Y., and Margaret L. Porter of Gehring Springs, N.Y.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
