James McCullough Hathaway
ROLLA -- James McCullough Hathaway, 94, of Rolla, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
He was born Nov. 15, 1913, in Manitoba, Canada, to John L. and Mable Pearl Kerr Hathaway.
On June 18, 1945, he married Ida Blanche Bulmer in Brandon, Manitoba. They moved from Manitoba to the Rolla area in November 1953.
Mr. Hathaway was a custom cutter harvester for many years. He attended Rolla United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Alan Craig Hathaway of Hugoton, and David Roger Hathaway of Salina; a daughter, Shelley K. Hathaway of Westminster, Colo.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside inurnment will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rolla Cemetery, officiated by Sandy Ferguson, minister.
There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to Operating Smiles Train, in care of Paul's Funeral Home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
