Ray E. Forpahl

Ray E. Forpahl, 83, of Harper, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Harper Hospital.

He was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Duquoin, to James and Lucy McAtee Forpahl.

Mr. Forpahl was a design engineer and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

On June 9, 1949, he married Wilma Benn in Beaver, Okla. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Penny German of Garden City, and Sandra Forpahl of Harper; a sister, Emma Marie Harris of Harper; a brother, Roger Forpahl of Anthony; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Bobbi Hunter.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Duquoin Cemetery, officiated by Jerrold Scribner, pastor.

Visitation is until 8 tonight at Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Harper. Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Harper, in care of the funeral home, 613 W. 14th St., Harper, KS 67058.
