TRIBUNE — Elizabeth Marie "Betty" Cook, 79, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at her home in Tribune.
She was born July 13, 1929, in Wellington, to Roy and Fern Jefferies Zimmerman.
A Greeley County resident for more than 40 years, Mrs. Cook previously had been a long-time resident of Grand Junction, Colo. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her years as an active volunteer teacher for special needs children at Tope Elementary School in Grand Junction. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tribune, the afternoon coffee club and AARP.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Robert Brunswig Jr. of Greeley, Colo.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a daughter, Susan Bjorklund.
A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. MDT July 16 at First Presbyterian Church in Tribune, with the Rev. Charles Ayers officiating.
There will be no visitation. Condolences may be sent at www.priceandsons.com. Memorials are suggested to the Victims Assistance Program of Colorado, in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune.
