Margarita Ordonez

HUGOTON — Margarita Ordonez, 80, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton, where she had been a resident.

She was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Roman and Atocha Bustillos Andazota.

In 1948, she married Jesus Ordonez in Chihuahua. He died in 1998. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Rosario, Angel and Jesus Andazota; and two sisters, Carmen Gonzales and Delores Diaz.

A Hugoton resident since 1999, moving from Chihuahua, Mrs. Ordonez was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton, loved spending time with her family and collected farm animals.

Survivors include five sons, Humberto, Arturo and Leonel Ordonez of Chihuahua, Manuel Ordonez of Leadville, Colo., and Astolfo Ordonez of Garden City; two daughters, Antonia Macias of Vail, Colo., and Maria Domiguez of Hugoton; a sister, Vrigida Medina of Chihuahua; 26 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Pascal Klein officiating. Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton.
