Fred L. Cramer

SCOTT CITY -- Fred L. Cramer, 92, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

He was born Oct. 17, 1915, in Lane County, to Shirley Mulford and Della Evalyn Swilley Cramer.

A lifetime resident of Healy, Mr. Cramer was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of Healy United Methodist Church, Bronco's Camper Club at Dighton, Eagles Lodge at Garden City and Odd Fellows Lodge at Healy.

On Oct. 9, 1940, he married Ferne Austin in Dighton. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Terry Cramer of Dodge City, and Richard Cramer of Scott City; a daughter, Sandra Hambrick of Wichita; two brothers, Leo and George Cramer, both of Healy; a sister, Juanita Caldwell of Scott City; numerous nephews and nieces; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sally Lou Cramer; and four brothers.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Healy United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jim Brackett officiating. Burial will be in Healy Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Condolences may be sent at www.priceandsons.com or pricefh@wbsnet.org. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Fred L. Cramer Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, KS 67871.
